Welcome to my blog
But pretty much captures everything.
- Where else can I ride my bike?
It is possible. The destinations I choose for my cycle touring limit the riding to ~45KM a day (28M), which is about 3 hours of riding at a leisurely pace, avoiding hills. These kinds of tours are less about the daily destinations, more about the journey. And, these days, e-bikes are much more common and available so pretty much anyone can come on such trips.
I like travelling with local guides, who stop frequently and tell such interesting stories about what we are seeing. We stop in charming places for lunch. Each day is magical.
- My favourite way to go is by bike. You might be thinking – What?
- Being on a bike for a whole day? Impossible!!
I also like to hike in different locations. Hiking is slower than riding a bike, however it has an advantage as you have the whole day to get to know your fellow travelers as you walk along. These adventures create lasting friendships and offer a wonderful way to connect with people in person, which is so less common in today’s digital world. I know that not everyone is a camper and my preferred hikes are day excursions from a central location, often with private transportation to the trail head. So, you only need a day pack and good footwear – you are not carrying all your travelling stuff on your back. Again, I go with experienced local guides so that we can focus on our surroundings without having to be constantly checking the route.
I would really like it if you would join me in one of these adventures.

Where would you like to go?
Maybe we could go together?
